This article seeks to introduce the macro environment and market structure of home appliance industry and the challenges and opportunities facing this industry. After reviewing the macroeconomic environment from the perspective of value of production, value added, employment and production the technical structure of the industry has been survived. Technological development trends and production patterns, intensity of energy, labor and capital productivity are considered, to introduce the structure of the industrial market.
The results of this paper show that Iranian firms of this industry could not compete at global level due to lack of international connections, low size of production, low ability in research and development, low ability in innovation and absorption of foreign capital.
