Objective: The circular value chain (CVC) has emerged as a pivotal concept in advancing global sustainable development, emphasizing the efficient and recurrent use of resources. In Iran, persistent extraction of finite natural resources, alongside escalating waste generation and environmental pollution, has resulted in multifaceted challenges that remain insufficiently addressed in comprehensive studies.
Methods: This research aims to develop a holistic paradigmatic model of the circular value chain within the Iranian context. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach, the study first employed a grounded theory methodology to derive the model’s dimensions through a systematic review of theoretical literature, prior research, and in-depth interviews with informed experts. Subsequently, a quantitative phase involved cross-impact analysis and variable typology using Mic Mac software to examine the qualitative findings. Strty was established through expert validation and concept coding, while reliability was ensured via inter-coder agreement.
Conclusion: The study identified key dimensions of the presented model, including causal conditions (natural resource status and environmental factors), contextual conditions (economic-financial and social factors), intervening conditions (organizational and legal-political factors), core and supporting strategies, and consequences at micro,
