Importance of Kazakhstan's Export Market and Export Development Strategies of this Country with SWOT Model

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to provide solutions for the development of Iran's exports to Kazakhstan. The type of this research is review and its method is descriptive. For to collect the necessary information and statistics have been used from library resources, referring to official and international websites and using the opinions of experts and exporters to Central Asian countries, especially Kazakhstan. In this research, Kazakhstan's commercial exchanges with Iran and the world were analyzed by using official statistics. Based on this, the main competitors in the market of this country are Russia and China. Also, based on the trade exchanges between Iran and Kazakhstan in the last 5 years, the largest amount of export to this country was related to pistachio and date and the largest amount of import was related to wheat and barley. In the next part, export development strategies were compiled using the SWOT matrix and its weighting and prioritization by experts. The results of the evaluation matrix of internal and external factors showed that the most suitable strategy for the development of exports to this country is an aggressive approach. According to the opinions of expert’s things like Signing a free trade agreement with the Eurasian Economic Union, increasing direct flights, Wagon supply, solving banking problems by using barter mechanism or using national currencies in business, Using the capacities of ports and free zones are the most important measures for develop exports to Kazakhstan.
