Abstract
Currently, the process of globalization, especially the development of exports, has a special place. Creating a competitive advantage in a competitive business environment, especially in global markets, is very important for companies. The purpose of this research is to investigate the role of the government, university and industry and the strategies needed in the development of the export of capital goods to Iraq. The statistical population of the research is companies that export capital goods to Iraq. Through random sampling, a number of companies were selected and the required data was collected by using a questionnaire from 455 managers or vice-presidents of the companies. In this study, the positivism approach and cross-sectional descriptive study design were used and the data were analyzed by structural equation modeling. According to the results of the research, the policies and performance of the government, universities, industry and export development strategies have a significant role in improving the development of the export of capital products to Iraq. Also, the results have supported the significant role of export development on the sustainable development of the country. As a result, relying on the collected evidence, all five research hypotheses have been confirmed. In addition, the indirect effect of the performance of the government, universities, industry and adopted strategies on the development of the country has been supported. This study recommends to the economic policy makers of the country, that consistency in decision making and planning between university, industry and government must be noticed.
