Challenges and requirements of implementing digital transformation strategy in telecommunications industry

Abstract
Todays, digital transformation has become an important part of the lives of people and businesses; In a way, any organization that seeks to grow, expand, increase quality and stabilize, needs it. In the meantime, companies, telecommunications service providers, and telecom operators are at the forefront of this dramatic transformation. These businesses around the world are constantly striving to adopt different digital transformation strategies, and in order to survive in competitive and relevant markets, they must strive to successfully implement and implement various digital solutions and strategies. These companies often face many similar challenges in their rapid quest to participate and play a role in digital transformation and emerging market innovation. Therefore, in the present study, an attempt has been made to identify and explain the challenges in the field of digital transformation in the communications industry, as well as the requirements for the implementation of the digital transformation strategy in this industry. This research has been done as a systematic review of theoretical foundations and after reviewing valid articles and reports, articles and reports that met the research criteria have been studied. The research findings show that telecom companies face unique challenges such as: commodification of core connectivity services, demand for different and personalized offers by digital service consumers, new foreign competitors, the emergence of significant advances in software and technology, and They are facing a new transformational business model.
